Jenny Bartoy founded Plume Productions in 2004 based on her extensive
experience in project management as well as marketing and communications.
Over the past decade, she has demonstrated her keen understanding of
communications dynamics and proactive management skills in fields like
multimedia production (film, video and music), website development, market
research, advertising and communications, as well as the coordination of major
events.

Jenny obtained a Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film from the University
of Texas at Austin, and a Master of the Arts in Social-Cultural Anthropology from
Columbia University, New York.

Some of Jenny's career highlights include:
  • Rising from Production Assistant to 1st Assistant Director in the
independent film industry in Austin, Texas over the course of less than
one year, right out of college
  • Overseeing creative project management and the development of
processes for the new Interactive department at GSD&M Advertising in
    Austin
  • Supervising an outreach and marketing campaign for the new art
journal Connect in New York, while attending graduate school at
    Columbia University
  • Coordinating a World Chess Championship event that was broadcast
    internationally from New York City
  • Since 2004, running her own company, Plume Productions,
dedicated to providing small businesses and non-profit organizations
with affordable project management, copy writing and marketing
consulting services, as well as web design and development and
    digital video production services.
Independently and through agencies, Jenny has worked with a variety of large and
small businesses and organizations including Southwest Airlines, Land Rover,
Hewlett-Packard, Pachamama Alliance, Mr. Toad's, The September 11th Fund and
BrainBang, Inc.  Her favorite type of client is a small business or organization
where she can truly contribute with hands-on participation, recommendations and
results.

Jenny remains passionate about film, particularly documentary fi
lm-making.  In
2006, she and her husband launched a film-making organization called
Lucha
Luz.  Their first project, The World Wise Traveler, is in the beginning stages of
production.

Jenny grew up in France and is fluent in both written and spoken French.  While
she started
Plume Productions in San Francisco, California, she now provides
her services from Nashville, Tennessee where she resides with her husband
Kevin, an archaeologist.
Where does the name Plume Productions come from?

When Jenny was growing up in France, her mother used to tell her
she had a little “
plume” ("feather" in French) floating in her head.
This was her mother's own made-up expression to mean Jenny
was an original who marched to her own drumbeat.

For Jenny, thinking of her “
plume” was a reminder to follow her
heart and her instincts.  In building her business, she has done
just that.  With the goals of always demonstrating honesty and
integrity in her relationships with clients, Jenny strives to relieve
them of the burden of managing their projects.

Plume Productions handles the project from beginning to end,
and the responsibility becomes light as a feather for our clients!
"Jenny [Bartoy] is a remarkable
and versatile talent,  a one-stop
shop for creativity and visual
production. She really knows how
to bring it all together."
